Novena in Honor of the Child Jesus for Christmas
The following novena in honor of the Child Jesus may be prayed in preparation of the celebration of Christmas. Jesus came to us as a humble Child. And, He urges us to have the faith of a child in coming to Him with our cares and concerns, joys and sorrows, triumphs and difficulties. If prayed before Christmas, the novena begins on December 16th

Day One (December 16th)
Child Jesus, You Who were born in a cave, free us from the darkness of sin.
We adore You, O Word incarnate, true Son of God from all eternity, and true Son of Mary ever Virgin in the fulness of time. When we adore Your divine person, and the humanity united to Your divinity, we venerate the poor manger which welcomed You as an infant, and which was truly the throne of Your love. We prostrate ourselves before it with the simplicity of the shepherds, with the faith of Joseph, with the love of Mary.
Child Jesus, we humbly ask that you might grant us our prayers.
(Here state the favor requested)
We give thanks to You for Your great mercy and love for us. We pledge, to You, Child Jesus, to strive to have a child-like faith in You Who in humility to dwell with us.
Our Father, Hail Mary, and Glory Be
